It’s helpful to be familiar with some of the animal names first. After all, when it comes to learning the Lao alphabet, many Lao letter consonants are associated with animal names.

I purchased these so ‘maethu’ and ‘paathu’ could help my kids learn more Lao vocabulary words….they BOTH love using these flash cards! The cards are a good heavy stock with clear lettering and illustrations. I hope they come out with more flash cards in other subjects like food/drink, transportation, buildings, etc, they are very helpful.

These cards are beautifully designed and easy to understand. My nephew loves the /saang/ and /maa/ vocabulary and illustrations. There is so much to learn, and the animal mages really brings out the fun in these cards.
